Dandelion Create – an Art for Wellbeing Studio Open Day

This moment is from Dandelion Create – an ‘Art for Wellbeing Studio’ in Rochdale, which is opening its doors to the public Friday 28th October, 10.30-3pm and hoping to engage with over 50 people. They tell us more about it here…

“Nestled in a busy industrial area of Rochdale is our Art for Wellbeing Studio, Dandelion Create. An inspirational space, buzzing with creative ideas and calming activities, Dandelion Create is where we run CRESS (Creative Referal Engagement and Support Service).

We are opening the doors to the studio this Autumn and invite you in to experience the space. Artful, our user led group will be demonstrating creative activities, we will have herbal teas on tap and a range of delicious snacks for you. You will be able to make and create, chat to our artists and emotional support workers, meet some of our participants and find out more about Art for Wellbeing.

If you feel that your mental wellbeing would benefit from regular creative group work or you work with someone who would benefit, we’d love to meet you. Pop in between 10.30am and 3pm and inspire your Friday!”

What are the Health & Wellbeing benefits expected from this moment?

“Take part in relaxing creative activities. Enjoy the process of making. Speak to participants and find out how they benefit from Art for Wellbeing. Meet and connect with others. Enjoy healthy refreshments.”

Quote from a participant:

‘When I come into the space I feel relaxed and inspired straight away, the Art for Wellbeing team are encouraging and supportive and I carry that feeling of calm through the week’

A big thank you to Dandelion Create for sending us their moment!
